First Homes is a national scheme designed to help first-time buyers purchase their own home at a more affordable price. Enjoy a 30% discount off the full market value of the property. Simply put, you buy with a discount and sell with the same discount, never paying rent unlike shared ownership schemes.
Who is it for?
• First-time buyers only – all applicants must be buying their first home • Household income must be under £80,000 • You must be able to get a mortgage for at least 50% of the discounted price • The home must be your only residence • Some local eligibility rules may apply, such as having a local connection or being a keyworker • Subject to availability, eligibility, and local authority approval.
